Friday Fiber Flash..

Once upon a time, there was a boy who loved sock yarn.

He wished that there was some magical way that he could find more time to actually knit socks, but he did all that he could.

He spent a lot of time looking at sock patterns and even more time playing around on an enchanting site with all kinds of knitting elves who seemed to knit all day long.  This prince also spent a fair amount of time surfing around and looking at different sites in the mystical world of Blogland.

One sunny day, he happened upon the site of a knitting princess and saw that she was a big sock knitter and had made many pairs.  He was specifically captivated by the pair of socks that he saw here

After seeing that the yarn was available from one of his favorite yarn vendors, he made a bee-line to their site.  He did not find any of the magical yarn upon the vendor's cart.

He even made a special call to them and was told that there was to be no more.  A gaggle of evil witches had taken all of the yarn away and into dark cellars all over the world, which was his worst nightmare.

It was a sad time in the young prince's life when he realized that the yarn would never be his.

Then, a funny thing happened that changed the young prince's life.

He was on the vendor's site, looking at needles that would be perfect additions to his collection.  He innocently clicked on the part of the vendor's cart where the Felici yarn was displayed.

And saw it.  Pebble. The colorway was there.  Tons of it, available for him.

It had come back.

Needless to say, a magician with a wand could not have been faster getting the yarn into a cart and on its way to the prince.

A few days later, it arrived and was just as he had imagined.

Better, actually.

And the prince and his yarn lived happily ever after.

Hey, that looks like the same color I am using from knitpicks, except mine is the old 'memories' and the colorway is smores. I love it!

Oh, I do love a happy ending to my fairy tales!

And I think I might have that same colorway in the "sock yarn to use for hubby" bin.

Happy endings are great, aren't they? I have a yarn that's kind of similar, except it has robin's egg blue in it. It's too early in the morning for me to remember what it is. Happy knitting, friend!

A happy ending indeed! It's karma coming back at you for helping the Yarn Harlot. =)

You are a lucky guy indeed! Now... what pattern to use?

I just love happy endings!

Awww, I'm a knitting princess! :)

I'm glad you got a happy ending & you and Pebble have many happy times totgether :)

How long ago did the magical vendor have it in stock? I've been stalking the magical vendor for this magical yarn and have not seen it for a very long like. I am debating purchasing some "Dakota" but I do not think it's magic is as strong as "Pebble."

turtlegirl76 said what I was going to say!
Good karma!

I am glad the Prince found the "Pebble" colorway. The Princess has some other great color selections too that would look great with jeans! Thanks for the redirect/link on your blog. MUST ORDER SOME! Can't wait to see your socks!

Ohh..um..very nice colors there! :) (must resist) Glad you found it! :)

How much Pebble did you buy?
I just checked. It's all gone!
And such nice colors for "guy" socks.

They brought it back just for you! What great boy colors - too bad I have a moratorium on yarn purchases until I finish my current projects...

Ooooh--I am so jealous!!! They came out with the Felici after I had already sworn to buy no yarn for an entire year. Sigh--and I bet it's even soft.....

That is some nice yarn...soft and squishy! I have some in the Patina colorway. They are going to be chevron socks with a bullseye heel from Sensational Knitted Socks. They look like my grandma's 1970's afghan. You are the first and only person to know about these so far, so don't tell! Enjoy your yarn!
