Hello, World..

..I am back.  Finally.

It has been over a month or so since I last posted.  For that, I apologize.  I do not really have any reason not to have been blogging other than I guess I was taking a break. 

So... here is a recap (in no particular order) of what has taken place since the last time we spoke:

• I saw the Twilight movie and really enjoyed it.  The books have hooked me and I am almost finished with the third one.  I thought that the movie did a great job of going right along with the book.  It was neat because some of the scenes were exactly as I had imagined them.  I can't wait to see the next one!

• SAFF.  I got to see tons of friends and brought home lots of fibery goodness.  I know that it was about a month ago, but I think I am finally starting to come down from the fiber fumes.  I am going to share my pics and some stories from that weekend pretty soon.  What a great time!

• Charlotte is finally home.  I am becoming acclimated to the area, which is a good thing because this area can get confusing.  I am starting to make some real friends now.  I have a church with people that I adore and am enjoying being a part of my choir.  We have a show coming up in a few weeks, so things are getting busy with it.   The job is going well and I really like it.  All in all, things are good!

• Happily, I can report that I am out of the basement!  I moved into a new apartment and am loving it. Christopher has tons of room and lots of windows to enjoy. The apartment has a nice fireplace for now and a really cool screened in porch that will totally be used this spring when it gets warmer!

• Thanksgiving was great!  I took a road trip home to Alabama, where I hid out and did nothing.  To prove this point, I stayed in my jammies all day on Thanksgiving.  It was great!  I also got to celebrate my mother's birthday, which was fun!

• As far as knitting goes, I am kind of on a sabbatical.  My mojo simply fell out and I am hoping that it will return soon.  I know that it will come back with a bang and I will not be able to put the needles down.  Hopefully, that will be soon.  Until then, I will continue to fondle the yarn that I have (and secretly hope that it will knit itself!).

• Oh.. I got a new computer!  I am finally a "cool kid" with a laptop.  It was an early holiday gift from my parents.  My other computer was purchased in 2001 and is being held together with duct tape and prayer.  I'm excited that I can hang out in bed and play around online. Now, if I can just get used to using my fingers instead of a mouse!  (I do have one to cheat with, though.)

You are pretty much caught up with my life.  That's all that I can think of to share right now.

Thanks for sticking with me during the break.  Bear with me as I try to get this blog rolling again.
